I will never forget that Lee Strobel AND Garry Poole wrote a study guide on how to approach The Da Vinci Code from a Biblical stand point.

Why?

Well, here’s why…

Suncrest was using the material with a few groups and we were promoting it like crazy.  On one particular Sunday I stood up to talk about it.  I referenced that Lee Strobel and another guy wrote the book.  That other author like I’ve mentioned was Garry Poole AND he happened to be in the audience that VERY SUNDAY.  He was not alone either because his entire family was with him.

Fast forward to last month and I get this email from a friend in Ohio who tells me that they had Garry in for a training event.  My friend starts telling him about me and the story and Garry of course remembers.

Then last week, I had a chance to speak with Garry himself and we  got quite a laugh about it.  He said his family gave him quite a hard time about me giving Lee Strobel all the credit.

These things just never go away…
